About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our Corporate Procurement Team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in executing our Procurement strategy and leading sourcing projects for goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize spend and drive business value
  • Lead competitive tendering activities and negotiate contracts with key suppliers
  • Analyze vendor spend data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Mentor and lead category team members to ensure effective category management
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to establish award strategies that align with business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable procurement outcomes

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in leading high-complexity procurement, category management, or sourcing projects
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience leading tenders
  • Experience in managing category teams and developing category strategies
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Established stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate with senior leaders
  • Above-average computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
