Senior Academic Leadership Opportunity

The Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce seeks a visionary leader to spearhead the Business School, fostering academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.

  1. About the Role:
  • We are seeking an accomplished Dean who will drive the strategic direction of the Business School, leveraging their expertise in business education to elevate student experiences, research quality, and industry partnerships.
  • This senior academic leadership role encompasses academic planning, operational management, community engagement, and teaching excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive academic plans, aligning with industry needs, regulatory requirements, and institutional goals.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships across campus locations to ensure seamless integration of Business School programs.
  • Liaise with Academic Support staff to optimize staffing, timetabling, and workload allocation.
  • Maintain compliance with IMC academic policies, HESF, AQF, and TEQSA directives.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives, addressing student feedback, graduate surveys, and regulatory assessments.
  • Drive performance reviews, professional development, and teaching quality assurance at the Perth campus.
  • Contribute to course reviews, accreditations, and mentorship for research and publication.
  • Promote scholarship within the School, encouraging academic staff to engage in research and knowledge exchange.
  • BUILD articulation pathways and partnerships with national and international institutions.
  • SUPPORT recruitment activities, ensuring accurate messaging reflects the School's strengths.
  • REPRESENT the Business School in local forums, industry panels, and events.
Required Qualifications:
  • Doctoral qualification (AQF Level 10) or equivalent in a business-related discipline.
  • Demonstrated academic leadership experience at the department, faculty, or institutional level.
  • Strong record of achievement in teaching and research relevant to business education.
  • Knowledge of Australia's higher education regulatory framework.
