We are seeking a full-time Technical AV Drafting Specialist to join our team in our Sydney office. As a key member of our drafting services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audio-visual (AV) system designs across our national footprint. Your primary duties will include:

  • Validating technical AV designs through the shop drawing process.
  • Preparing comprehensive AV signal flow diagrams and system schematics.
  • Developing typical elevations and layouts of AV equipment.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of drafting workflow, reference libraries, and standards.
  • Liaising with architectural and building trades to ensure coordinated shop drawing packages, including General Arrangements, Elevations, Reflected Ceiling Plans, Cable Schedules, Signal Flow Diagrams, System Schematics, Network Topology, Equipment Details, and Mechanical Fabrication.
  • Conducting research on AV product information as needed for drawing preparation.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and manufacturers as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in the Audio-Visual industry. You should have a strong understanding of integrated AV systems, including their capabilities and limitations. Proficiency in software applications such as AutoCAD and Visio is essential, and experience with architectural and services drawings is highly desirable. Strong technical thinking, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are also critical.
