Leisure Facility Manager
Our organisation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leisure Facility Manager to lead our team at our aquatic and recreation centre in Melbourne.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors and employees, developing and leading a skilled and passionate team, and achieving high-performance targets.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in managing a similar leisure or aquatic facility and 5 years' experience in managing and leading teams. They will also have a good understanding of local government and its processes.
About the Facility
Our centre features a range of facilities including a 50m heated outdoor pool, 25m indoor lap pool, learn to swim pool, warm water program pool, spa, steam and sauna, as well as an indoor water playground for young children.
The Centre Manager will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving innovation while building a passionate and engaged team.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting, developing and leading a skilled and passionate team
- Ensuring safety and well-being of visitors and employees
- Coaching and developing leaders
- Leading a high-performance community-minded culture
- Maintaining a high-value relationship with our council partner
- Implementing a high-value customer service proposition
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience in managing a similar leisure or aquatic facility
- 5 years' experience in managing and leading teams
- Good understanding of local government and its processes
- Tech-savvy and sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport and positive relationships with people
