Job Description

We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our team in providing comprehensive assessments and home treatments to consumers requiring acute mental health support.

The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary team conducting face-to-face holistic assessments in community clinics and in consumers' homes. Their skills will be utilised within assessment, providing early discharge management and mental health telephone triage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and home treatments to consumers requiring acute mental health support
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team conducting face-to-face holistic assessments in community clinics and in consumers' homes
  • Utilise your skills within assessment, providing early discharge management and mental health telephone triage
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes for consumers
  • Communicate well with and relate to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, SOCIAL WORKER, REGISTERED PSYCHIATRIC NURSE, OR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST WITH RELEVANT REGISTRATION AND QUALIFICATIONS RPN ONLY: POSTGRADUATE QUALIFICATION IN MENTAL HEALTH OR SPECIALIST UNDERGRADUATE MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM
  • PROVEN ABILITY IN THE SUPPORT OF CONSUMERS WITH SIGNIFICANT MENTAL ILLNESS AND IN THE TECHNIQUES OF ASSESSMENT, CRISIS INTERVENTION, COUNSELLING, PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION, AND RECOVERY-ORIENTED PRACTICE
  • EXTENSIVE AND RECENT EXPERIENCE IN THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD INCLUDING ACUTE INPATIENT SERVICES AND/OR COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CARE
  • DEMONSTRATED COMMITMENT TO DELIVERING HIGH QUALITY OUTCOMES FOR CONSUMERS
  • COMMUNICATES WELL WITH AND RELATES TO CONSUMERS FROM A WIDE RANGE OF CULTURES AND BACKGROUNDS
