Job Title: Academic Lecturer in Nursing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Lecturer in Nursing to join our team at La Trobe University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and coordinating subjects in nursing, as well as contributing to curriculum design and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and teach subjects in nursing, providing a high-quality learning experience for students
- Contribute to curriculum design and development, including the embedding of employability capabilities
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students
- Participate in innovative subject and course level curriculum design and review
- Demonstrate a scholarly approach to learning and teaching, contributing to La Trobe's SOLT
Requirements:
- Registered or eligible to register as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Masters or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the Nursing/Midwifery disciplines
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes
- Clinical Currency in professional nursing
- Ability to encourage intellectual development, discipline development and career aspirations of students
- High level organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions
