About this Opportunity

This is a unique chance for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to take on a leadership role while remaining actively involved in technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of control systems engineers to drive business growth.
  • Design, program and commission PLC and SCADA systems for industrial applications with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and solutions to enhance their operations.
  • Support urgent breakdowns and troubleshoot control system issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes and project delivery to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates and technical documentation to support business development efforts.
About You
  • A degree or trade qualification in electrical, mechatronics or control systems engineering (or similar) is essential.
  • Extensive experience in a senior or lead control systems engineering role within mining or heavy industry is required.
  • Strong skills in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and Citect SCADA (or equivalent) are necessary.
  • Confident leadership and hands-on technical expertise are key qualities for success in this role.
  • A practical, proactive and motivated approach is essential to drive business growth and improve customer outcomes.
