Job Title: Primary Engineer

As a leader in the clean energy sector, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to oversee front-end substation and transmission line design. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering robust technical solutions for substation and transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex technical solutions for substation and transmission line projects up to 500kV
  • Ensure strict adherence to engineering standards and customer requirements
  • Drive innovation and process improvement across design methods and technical reviews
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure engineering excellence
  • Support project scoping, cost estimating, scheduling and stakeholder engagement
  • Lead on safety, sustainability, and constructability reviews throughout project lifecycles
  • Help mitigate technical risk by resolving complex engineering challenges early in design

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years' experience in utilities or HV design up to 500kV
  • Strong substation and primary electrical engineering skills
  • Familiarity with Victoria's regulatory and energy market landscape
  • Confident problem-solver with ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder with internal and external stakeholders
  • A valid Victorian Driver's Licence
