
Energy Infrastructure Specialist

As a Senior Energy Infrastructure Specialist, you will lead the strategic planning and assessment of our network capabilities. This involves identifying constraints and developing solutions for future electricity demand using simulation tools such as PSS/E PowerFactory and PSCAD.
Your key responsibilities will include delivering power system studies, translating complex analysis into actionable insights, managing multiple complex projects, and simplifying technical concepts. You will also develop regulatory investment proposals, planning reports, and business cases, providing technical leadership on network augmentation, bushfire safety compliance, and contingency planning.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a qualified electrical engineer with extensive experience in electricity network planning and asset management. Proficiency in power system analysis tools, such as PSS/E PowerFactory or PSCAD, is highly desirable, as is Python programming skills. You should also have a strong understanding of the National Electricity Rules regulatory frameworks and energy market dynamics.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to possess excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including regulators, government bodies, and internal teams. You will also need to be able to manage multiple complex projects, drive continuous improvement, and work collaboratively in a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
