We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling and Explosives Operations Specialist to join our team at Impact Drill & Blast.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a physically demanding role, working in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for career advancement. As a Drilling and Explosives Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of drilling and blasting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in physically demanding work, including extended periods of walking, carrying, and bending.
  • Establish exclusion zones with appropriate signage to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow all instructions on the blast site from the shotfirer and/or supervisor.
  • Ensure site and equipment cleanliness to maintain a high level of safety and efficiency.
  • Uphold Impact's safety culture and standards in the designated area.
  • Perform any other duties as required by a supervisor/manager from time to time.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Australian Open Class manual driver's license.
  • Proficiency in using computers and operating systems.
  • Physical agility to undertake extended periods of walking, carrying, and bending.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a national police check.
  • Successful completion of a medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment.
  • Desirable experience in the quarry or mining industry.

Location
