Job Overview

The Associate Director of Pharmacy is responsible for leading the administrative functions of the pharmacy department, including pharmacy programs and vendor management. This role requires a strong background in pharmacy administration and excellent leadership skills to manage cross-functional relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to facilitate communication and collaboration among disciplines and departments to provide high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Manage contracts with pharmacy vendors, including negotiation and oversight of daily operations.
  • Provide rebate management and oversight, as well as assist with bid support for Medicare and Marketplace filings.
Qualifications:
  • PharmD or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed pharmacist within the United States.
  • Experience in pharmacy administration, preferably in a health plan or Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).
Essential Functions:
  • Develop and implement operational and capital budgets for the pharmacy department.
  • Contract management of pharmacy department vendors.
  • Rebate management and oversight.
  • Provides pharmacy bid support to Medicare and Marketplace during annual filings.
  • Project management of new program implementation.
