Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to oversee the SA Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN) and administer state-based research grants. This role involves fostering collaboration, managing key committees, building relationships with stakeholders, and coordinating events to raise the profile of cardiovascular research.

  • Committee and Secretariat Support: Provide operational and strategic support to the SA CVRN Executive and Rising Stars Sub-Committees.
  • Grant Management: Develop, promote, and administer Heart Foundation SA research grants for CVRN members through transparent processes.
  • Event Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of key events like the Annual Cardiovascular Showcase and Emerging Leaders Symposium.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with CVRN members, research funding bodies, institutions, local health networks, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will have appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in health and medical research or a health-related field. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • A strong understanding of the health and medical research landscape in SA and Australia.
  • Expertise in grant management and administration.
  • Experience in organizing research, capacity-building, and networking events.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
