We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our cardiovascular research initiatives. This role will be responsible for fostering collaboration, managing the SA Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN), and administering state-based research grants. The successful candidate will oversee operations, manage key committees, build relationships with stakeholders, and coordinate events to raise the profile of cardiovascular research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Committee and Secretariat Support: Provide operational and strategic support to the SA CVRN Executive and Rising Stars Sub-Committees, including secretariat duties such as minute-taking, action items, and reporting.">
  • Grant Management: Develop, promote, and administer Heart Foundation SA research grants for CVRN members through transparent processes.">
  • Event Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of key events like the Annual Cardiovascular Showcase, Emerging Leaders Symposium, and capacity-building workshops for researchers.">
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with CVRN members, research funding bodies, institutions, local health networks, and government agencies.">
  • Collaboration and Opportunity Development: Identify collaboration and funding opportunities across clinical, research, industry, and government sectors, and coordinate activities with other cardiovascular research networks.">
  • Member Onboarding and Database Management: Coordinate the induction of new members and maintain the integrity of the SA CVRN member database.">
  • Communications and Representation: Support digital and social media efforts to raise the profile of SA CVRN and its members and represent the Network at external meetings and forums.">

To be successful in this role you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in health and medical research or health related field as well as:

  • Strong understanding of the health and medical research landscape in SA and Australia, including funding schemes and networks.">
  • Expertise in grant management and administration.">
  • Experience in organizing research, capacity-building, and networking events.">
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and administrative skills.">
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.">
  • Experience managing and working with committees.">
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills.">
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences.">
