As a leading specialist in aerospace medicine, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to pilots and crew members in extreme environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations to ensure the fitness of air and missile crews.
  • Evaluate living and working conditions to identify and mitigate health hazards.
  • Regularly participate in flying missions to observe and provide expert advice on aeromedical issues.
  • Develop and implement preventive medicine programs, focusing on education and healthy lifestyle promotion among flight personnel.
  • Establish protocols for managing casualties in aviation accidents and other disasters.
  • Provide guidance on aeromedical evacuation procedures and serve on investigation boards.
  • Act as a liaison between flying squadrons and medical services, ensuring seamless coordination.

To excel in this role, you must hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, with completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited program of postgraduate specialty training.
