About the Role

InfraBuild Steel Centre is seeking an exceptional Customer Service and Sales Ambassador to join our successful and tight-knit team in Mackay. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with both our Sales and Operations teams to ensure customers have a positive experience with InfraBuild Steel Centre.

This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone looking for a career change or to build on their existing customer service/sales experience. You will be responsible for managing customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person, processing cash sales, quotes, and orders, preparing reports, maximising sales opportunities, and performing general administration duties.

You are a team player with an exceptional customer focus, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment. To be successful in this role, you will have experience in customer service and/or sales administration, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish rapport with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer enquiries via various channels
  • Processing cash sales, quotes, and orders
  • Preparing reports and ensuring data accuracy
  • Maximising sales opportunities through effective communication and negotiation
  • Performing general administration duties to support the team

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service and/or sales administration
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with customers
  • Microsoft Office & SAP system experience highly regarded
  • Experience in estimating and drafting in a similar industry also highly regarded

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience

  • Access to long service leave after 5 years: Employees who are not covered by an Enterprise Agreement can access accrued Long Service Leave (LSL) at the rate of 1.3 weeks per year of service after 5 years continuous service.
