About the Role

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Educator to join our team. As a Childcare Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational programs and services to children aged 6 weeks to school age.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate educational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of a safe and healthy environment that meets legislative requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and accidents in a timely and professional manner, completing incident reports and assisting in investigations as needed.
  • Comply with the Centre/Club Emergency Plan requirements and implement Safety, Health, Risk, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the centre's goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in children's services.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Children's Services (or equivalent) and relevant experience working with children.
  • Working knowledge of the Children's Services Regulations and ability to adhere to legislative requirements.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Senior First Aid & CPR, Working With Children Check, and Current Police Check.
  • Anaphylaxis Management Training and Asthma Management Training (preferred but not essential).
