Culinary Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Durungaling Hostel in Newcastle, NSW. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in meal preparation and cooking in an industry-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare meals in accordance with set menus and food safety standards.

  2. Manage stock rotation while ensuring timely service and hygiene of cooking equipment.

  3. Clean the kitchen and dining rooms to standard.

Requirements:

  • Be an Australian citizen.

  • Undergo a satisfactory national criminal history check prior to engagement.

  • Meet fitness for duty requirements prior to engagement.

  • Hold or obtain relevant qualifications.
