Job Description

As a key member of our Digital Health Services team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and effective use of clinical information systems across our organisation. Your expertise in system implementation, testing, and evaluation will be crucial in driving operational efficiency and enhancing patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Systems Support Lead and Nursing Director Health Informatics to oversee the operational management of clinical information systems, focusing on change management activities, business continuity, and end-user support.
  • Build strong relationships with our Digital Health Services partners to deliver the CHQ Health Informatics Program, including other HHSs, Pathology Queensland, eHealth, and Clinical Excellence Queensland.
  • Provide expert knowledge and advice on clinical systems used throughout our organisation, including business continuity processes, change management, business rules, and system and workflow testing.
  • Manage state-wide clinical systems changes in consultation with our digital partners, planning, maintaining registers, testing, and communication.
  • Offer first-line support and training to our staff on the use of various clinical information systems.
  • Collect performance measures to analyse data, monitor, and evaluate benefits realised by the introduction of our clinical systems, considering quality and service improvement activities.
  • Coordinate and plan Health Informatics team activities and general administrative tasks allocated by the Clinical Systems Support Lead and Nursing Director Health Informatics.
  • Participate actively in a working environment supporting quality human resources management practices, including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
  • Contribute to developing a positive culture within our Digital Health Services, encouraging high performance, building leadership capabilities, and supporting staff to maximise their health and wellbeing.
