About the Role

Lifestyle Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapeutic Support Manager to lead our team of support workers in providing therapeutic care to children and young people in our out-of-home care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, supervision, and coaching to the team of Therapeutic Youth Workers
  • Manage and maintain rosters and appropriate staffing levels
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of documentation, plans, and reviews
  • Ensure quality life story work by the Therapeutic Youth Workers
  • Manage informal and formal complaints and feedback
  • Ensure mandatory internal and external reporting occurs

Requirements:

  • Relevant management experience of children and young people in out-of-home care who have a disability and/or complex care needs due to trauma-based backgrounds
  • Experience managing staff who regularly face crisis situations in the course of their work
  • Knowledge and experience to work within relevant legislation, out-of-home care standards, policies, and procedures
  • Capacity to apply culturally appropriate practices with Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • Excellent oral and written communication and demonstrated administration skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Current driver's license
  • Willingness to work outside of business hours
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Vaccinated against Covid-19
