About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading data centre team as a skilled Data Centre Network Engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in networking and fibre cabling, with experience in supporting a range of technologies.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining and monitoring fibre optic and network equipment, responding to alarms and alerts using monitoring tools.
  • Providing expert connectivity advice and support to internal and external stakeholders, including fault finding assistance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and acting as a Subject Matter Expert across data centre operations.
  • Managing and updating network topology, asset records, and configuration data for all networking equipment.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers.
  • Working independently and collaboratively across regions, occasionally outside normal business hours.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A solid understanding of networking and fibre cabling concepts.
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting networking and communications equipment.
  • Strong documentation and compliance skills, with familiarity in ITIL frameworks.
  • Industry certifications in networking or cabling are desirable.
