This is a critical role within the Public Transport Authority's Transperth Train Operations team, requiring a highly organised and experienced Coordinator to support Security Services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people management skills, with a proven track record in dynamic operational environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer enquiries and complaints related to ticketing and infringements, overseeing efficient processing of infringement notices and system improvements.
  • Liaise with PTA prosecutions staff and respond to infringement appeals, making decisions on upholding or dismissing them.
  • Supervise investigations and work with the Fines Enforcement Registry to reduce outstanding and unpaid notices.
  • Contribute to strategies and policies aimed at reducing fare evasion, analysing performance data to inform continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support Parking Attendants, resolve parking issues, manage support services expenditure, oversee contractors, and ensure appropriate staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Prepare responses to ministerial and parliamentary questions, providing general administrative support to the branch.

This role has 13 direct reports, serving as the central escalation point for support services matters, offering an exciting opportunity to lead a committed team, influence key operational outcomes, and make a real impact across the network.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience managing administrative teams, delivering high-quality support, and handling enforcement related to fare evasion, parking, and relevant PTA regulations.
  • Strong numeracy skills, experience with financial processes and statistics, and a solid understanding of the Rules of Evidence and courtroom procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience supporting and managing teams, including in high-pressure or conflict situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in team development, modern customer service practices, and conflict resolution.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical abilities, combined with effective organisational skills to prioritise and manage tasks efficiently.
