External Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled External Communications Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building relationships, crafting compelling stories and driving strategic communications.
- This role involves developing and implementing integrated communications strategies that deliver results and build reputation excellence across multiple business units and projects.
- You will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing media relations, executing campaigns and providing support to senior leaders.
About You:
You will be a proactive communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and fast-moving situations. Your ability to identify and foresee emergent issues to mitigate reputational and business risk will be invaluable in this role.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in media or communications, including direct media engagement.
- Demonstrated issues management experience.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with peers to remain up to date with current opportunities and issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism and/or public relations.
