About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at the Westpac Group. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for the operational management, testing, and change implementation of our network security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure to ensure the integrity and availability of our systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network security policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in network security to ensure our infrastructure remains secure and compliant.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a complex IT infrastructure environment, preferably in a financial industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancing, and enterprise switching and routing.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and convert business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Desirable: exposure to logging platforms, monitoring tools, automation and scripting skills, and working knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
