Job Title:

Disability Life Skills Supporter

About the Role:
  • This is a permanent part-time mobile role with a minimum of 12 hours per week.
  • Supporting NDIS participants in their homes across Western Sydney and surrounding suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Aiding daily life activities and assistance for community support such as attending doctor's appointments and shopping.
  • Supporting individuals with educational and work-related endeavors.
  • Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Assisting transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements.
Requirements:
  • Experience or qualifications in disability or aged care are essential.
  • Ability to support people with complex behaviors and/or mental health needs using a person-centered approach.
  • Effective English communication skills are required.
  • Accurate records, reports, and case notes through a mobile phone must be maintained.
  • Knowledge of the Disability Inclusion Act 2014 and the NDIS is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Workers Check are mandatory.
  • NSW Driver's license, access to a reliable car, and Comprehensive car insurance are required.
  • First Aid Certificate is also a necessary qualification.
