The role of Senior Onsite Clinician is a critical position within Corrections Victoria, providing essential mental health and wellbeing support to staff.
Located in high-security prisons across Victoria, this role will involve regular travel to the CBD for professional development and team-building sessions.
This opportunity offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of Corrections Victoria staff and contribute to creating a culture of psychological safety.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual clinical assessments and interventions for staff seeking treatment for mental health concerns and trauma exposure.
- Develop and deliver psychoeducation sessions to the workforce on topics related to psychosocial risks and workplace mental health and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with local teams to implement initiatives addressing mental health and wellbeing issues in high-security prisons.
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the provision of mental health and wellbeing support.
- Significant experience in assessment, treatment, and behaviour intervention models with complex populations.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fluid and complex environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building at all levels.
- Reflective, open to feedback, and committed to contributing to a culture of psychological safety.
- Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia or Membership of the Australian Association of Social Work.
- Psiology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor or Australian Association of Social Workers Accredited Supervisor status is desirable.
- Specialist endorsement and/or experience in a clinical or forensic field would be highly desirable.
- Trained in delivering reflective practice or group supervision (desirable).
- Trained in Psychological First Aid (desirable).
- Minimum four years post-registration experience, or equivalent.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence is required.
