Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

This is a senior role within our multidisciplinary water team, focusing on delivering complex engineering solutions in the water sector. You will have extensive experience delivering large-scale projects and leading teams through all project phases.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate / Principal Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record in mechanical design, commissioning and operations, and troubleshooting across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership during project delivery, overseeing mechanical design intent, equipment selection and installation practices.
  2. Collaborate with bid teams to ensure alignment of mechanical design during tender phases; review technical documentation; refine cost estimates; and develop competitive proposals.
  3. Work closely with procurement teams to define scopes, engage vendors and coordinate equipment selection.
  4. Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as a key technical liaison to present solutions confidently and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  5. Mentor junior staff; manage client relationships; evaluate tenders; develop contract documentation; and drive innovation on high-value projects.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership in mechanical design for water or wastewater treatment projects.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering platforms such as BIM/Revit.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure.
