Production Operations Specialist

Our client, a leading manufacturer of cement-based products, is seeking a skilled Production Plant Operator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Operate a fully automated blending plant and packaging line, optimizing outputs and overseeing critical control points.
  • Set up machinery, address breakdowns, and perform preventative maintenance, including minor repairs and adjustments on the batching and packaging line.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and safely operate forklifts to prepare raw materials for production and unload palletized finished goods.
  • Rotate and relieve in all areas of production and warehousing as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience working in a production environment is essential.
  • A commitment to safety and contributing positively to WHS culture is a must.
  • The ability to learn and develop new skills, possess a great attitude, and demonstrate self-drive, strong attendance, and a hard work ethic is required.
  • A team player who can also work independently with minimal direct supervision is needed.
  • Problem-solving skills, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities are essential.
  • Proficient understanding of computer systems for operating and monitoring the manufacturing process is required.
  • Physical fitness and hands-on skills are necessary.
  • A current forklift LF license or willingness to obtain one is required.
