Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Fiji. The successful candidate will work across various projects to provide guidance and support on procurement, contracts, and grants processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops contracts, ensures value for money, manages procurement pipelines, and provides guidance and advice on contract and grant types.
  • Monitors compliance requirements and supports completion of Partner Portal requirements.
  • Lets the annual procurement planning process to develop a robust procurement plan based on activity work plans.
  • Supports major procurement activities with development of procurement documentation, scoping requirements, and evaluation panels.
  • Provides additional guidance and support for complex procurement and contracting matters.
Capacity Building and Strengthening
  • Develops and facilitates training sessions and materials for procurement and grants policies and procedures.
  • Provides input into initiatives to automate and digitise procurement procedures.
  • Manages updates to procedures and templates as required.
  • Liaises with Abt Home Office to ensure alignment with Abt requirements.
Key Deliverables
  • Procurement and contracting processes meet stakeholder needs and align with service level agreement delivery standards.
  • P&C Team performance data is available and accurate to indicate workload and performance against targets.
  • Timely and accurate completion of supplier component of PERFORMS reporting.
Selection Criteria
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and contracting, with experience working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
