Job Description

The role of Dentist is a critical position in the provision of dental services to patients, including emergency treatments, general examinations, and preventative treatments.

You will be responsible for liaising with senior dental officers, medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining good oral health among personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour are required.
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years is necessary.
  • Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA is mandatory.
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification is required.

About Kuttabul Health Centre

Kuttabul Health Centre is located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point and has been home to a naval base since 1856.

The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, outpatients, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy services to the ADF population.

This mid-size health centre has up to 4,500 members and provides services for overseas visiting personnel.
