Remote Healthcare Professional

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is seeking a skilled and compassionate Remote Area Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in remote healthcare environments. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living in rural and remote communities.

About the Role:

This position requires a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification general nursing experience. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing primary health care, population health, and emergency health services in remote Australia and/or rural Multi-Purpose Health Service Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally appropriate nursing care for patients in remote healthcare environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated service approach, focusing on prevention and early intervention.
  • Utilize knowledge of emergency response, patient triaging, population health, chronic disease management, culturally safe practice, and health promotion to deliver comprehensive health services.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
