Remote Audiologist Position

This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

The NT Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) is dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

We are seeking experienced Audiologists to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver culturally safe, high-quality care to patients in remote communities.
  • Work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
  • Participate in cultural orientation and 24/7 support to ensure a smooth transition into remote healthcare.
  • Develop skills in a unique healthcare setting and immerse yourself in the cultural and natural surroundings of the region.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as an Audiologist within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of current Audiology Australia Accredited Audiologist Certificate.
  • Current membership with Audiology Australia.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
