The City of Parramatta is undergoing significant transformation, and the Natural Areas Team has an exciting opportunity for a Natural Areas Officer-Bushcare to join their team. This 12-month part-time term contract will involve coordinating Bushcare volunteer activities and community education related to natural resource management, bush regeneration, and ecological communities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and resource the volunteer Bushcare program, including recruitment and marketing efforts.
- Develop and review Action Work Plans for Bushcare Groups.
- Design and implement environmental education programs, events, and workshops.
- Produce informative materials for Bushcare volunteers and the wider community.
- Manage grants and procurement activities associated with Bushcare programs.
We are seeking a candidate with a degree in Environmental Science or a related field, a NSW Class C Drivers License, and at least 5 years of experience in natural resource management and bush regeneration. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising volunteers, developing innovative programs, and liaising with community groups.
