The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and passionate leader to take on the role of National Operations Manager within CHL. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role will oversee the management of our housing operations across Australia. The key focus will be to guide high-performance teams in diverse and geographically dispersed areas to ensure CHL operations nationally achieve consistent, efficient, and effective standards while being adapted to various contract requirements.
Please note that this is a nationally focused role, and we ask that you are located within an hour of any of our offices. We have offices in various states across Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a quality assurance and control framework across all housing operations.
- Oversight of the development and maintenance of effective and respectful partnering in the delivery of services to customers.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture.
- Manage national operational and strategic risks in response to our risk management plan.
- Ensure operational policies are reviewed and updated as required.
- Report to Senior Management and the Board on company performance and operations.
You will have:
- A degree in social science, social work, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- Exceptional leadership skills that engage and drive others to deliver strategic objectives.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the community and public housing sector, including a commitment to best practice and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
- High-level strategic thinking, including facilitating various perspectives, risk assessments, and developing solutions for long-term sustainability.
- Strong financial management skills.
- The ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders that are critical to ensuring CHL's objectives.
- A commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing.
