Business Development Officer Role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Officer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing support to clients in the acquisition of new business and delivering growth.

  • Develop strong client relationships by contributing to new business acquisition and quotes.
  • Establish and maintain relevant networks with insurers and other business contacts.
  • Contribute to the development of client revenue budgets and monitor progress towards these goals.
  • Maintain databases, information systems, and organisational records ensuring efficient completion of tasks within determined parameters.
  • Gather client information to support new business documentation.
  • Manage and resolve client issues promptly, including answering enquiries and escalating problems when necessary.

Key Skills:

  • Sales driven approach with understanding of targeted and strategic selling processes.
  • Client servicing skills.
  • Developed business acumen and business development skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of technical competencies and insurance products.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Diploma of Financial services or other relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous.
  • Essential Tier 1 Insurance broking qualifications.
  • Previous experience working within Insurance or Financial Services advantageous.
