Job Overview:

This role encompasses responsibility for the design, estimation and project management of storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer drawings, specifications and contractual documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members on designing, laying out and detailing storage systems and components.
  • Create detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD software.
  • Conduct component take offs using quantity calculators.
  • Evaluate offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.
  • Precisely compile cost estimates and prepare tender documentation for larger projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with teams, clients and third parties to guarantee timely delivery and installation.
  • Understand project requirements, contractual obligations and mitigate risks.
  • Collect information from sites, warehouses and conduct research on labor costs, materials and production times.
  • Analyze data, forecast and budget using software.
  • Provide consultation on planning schedules, manpower needs etc.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating) or Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
