Antimicrobial Stewardship Leader

The Clinical Lead for Antimicrobial Stewardship is responsible for overseeing the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program across all sites. This role involves designing and implementing a new model of Antimicrobial Stewardship using a fee-for-service approach.
The Clinical Lead will provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacists, as well as offer expert advice and education to medical employees, pharmacists, and nursing staff as relevant.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development and implementation of the Antimicrobial Stewardship program
- Design and establish a new model of Antimicrobial Stewardship at Epworth Health
- Provide clinical leadership and support to Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacists
- Offer expert advice and education to medical employees, pharmacists, and nursing staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) which is recognised for registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or equivalent
- Eligibility for Specialist registration with AHPR
- Specialist training in Infectious Diseases
- Proven experience in antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases management
