Job Opportunity for Geotechnical Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced geotechnical professional to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our geotechnical practice group, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating geotechnical field investigation programs, laboratory testing programs, and working closely with Engineers-of-Record on long-term operational projects.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting geotechnical investigations and assessments at mine sites
  • Developing and implementing geotechnical assessments and analysis capabilities
  • Working closely with clients to understand their engineering challenges and provide solutions
  • Writing technical reports, proposals, and papers

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including mine waste and tailings management studies, tailings storage facility design, mine site civil infrastructure design, and more.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, be eligible for membership of Engineers Australia, and have 1-5+ years of consulting experience operating within a geotechnical practice group. You should also have a strong understanding of geotechnical investigation standards and practices, as well as experience with geotechnical logging software and GIS or CAD packages.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
