Teach Music with Passion

As a music instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your love of music with students of all ages and skill levels.

This role requires the ability to create a supportive and motivating learning environment that encourages student progress and learning. You will teach specialist instrumental music lessons, lead non-academic ensembles, and participate in school performances and events. The successful candidate will be able to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students, regardless of their background or needs.

About This Role

In this position, you will work closely with colleagues to achieve educational goals and contribute to the overall success of the school. You will also be responsible for attending staff meetings, departmental meetings, and other scheduled gatherings to collaborate with colleagues and stay up-to-date on school initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching Specialist Instrumental Music Lessons: Teach students of varying ages and skill levels in instrumental music, fostering a love of music and promoting student progress.
  • Leading Non-Academic Ensembles: Lead musical groups and ensure they are prepared for performances and events.
  • Participating in School Performances: Collaborate with colleagues to prepare students for performances, recitals, and concerts.
  • Contributing to School Success: Attend staff meetings, departmental meetings, and other gatherings to contribute to the success of the school.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Musical Knowledge: Strong understanding of music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
