We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist Resource Definition to join our team at Evolution Mining. As a key member of our geological team, you will be responsible for leading a team of geologists and contributing to the development of robust geological interpretations and estimations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of geologists and provide technical guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of geological projects.
- Develop and implement geological models and interpretations to inform resource definition and exploration activities.
- Manage the integration of geological data from drilling activities and external sources into the site database.
- Compile and integrate geological data, studies, technical data, and consultant reports to develop robust geological interpretations and estimations.
- Oversee the management of the Mungari tenements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure legal compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
- Make recommendations for future work and facilitate group project reviews and planning.
We are looking for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist with a strong background in geological interpretation and resource definition. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years' experience in exploration and production, with a minimum of 3+ years' experience in gold exploration.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology.
- Minimum 6+ years' experience across exploration and production.
- Minimum of 3+ years gold experience.
- Experience working at a senior level mentoring other Geologists.
- Understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry, and structural geology.
- Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
- Advanced understanding of geological interpretation and current 3D modelling techniques, block modelling, and QAQC protocols.
- Highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation.
- Experience using Leapfrog and/or Datamine (desirable, but not essential).
- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values.
