Gas Transmission Apprentice Program

Program Overview

This Certificate III program will provide you with hands-on experience and nationally recognised qualifications, enabling you to operate and maintain high-pressure natural gas equipment, rotating machinery, and engines.

Your Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain high pressure natural gas equipment
  • Maintain rotating machinery and engines
  • Patrol and maintain pipeline right of ways
  • Respond to leak reports and other emergencies strategically
  • Repair and maintain pipeline coatings, valves, and mechanical equipment
  • Liaise with landholders and public authorities
  • Promote a safety culture
  • Perform a variety of duties including mechanical activities, weed control, erosion control, documentation, and records maintenance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for working outdoors
  • A current driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as a team
