Minesite and Village Events Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team at ISS Roy Hill. As a key member of our community engagement team, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of events that bring our workforce and residents together.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute events, including social gatherings, team-building activities, cultural celebrations, and wellness programs.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while delivering high-quality experiences.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, setup, catering, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
- Engage with employees, contractors, and village residents to understand their needs and interests, ensuring events are relevant and well-received.
- Promote events through effective communication strategies, including creating promotional materials, managing RSVPs, and maintaining event schedules.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring all services meet quality standards.
- Evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement.
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, hospitality, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful event execution.
- Creative thinker with the ability to design engaging and innovative events that cater to a diverse audience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, remote working environment and manage events in unique settings.
- Quick thinker who can handle unexpected challenges with poise and efficiency.
