About the Role

The Learning and Development Coach will play a pivotal role in driving a collaborative culture of learning, empowering teachers and support staff to best meet the needs of our students. This position requires a passionate individual who is dedicated to building staff capacity in content and pedagogy through ongoing professional learning, coaching, and feedback.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Aiding the Leadership Team in implementing a Whole School Approach to Pedagogy, focusing on Comprehensive Literacy, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
  • Developing and executing strategies to maximize student achievement and supporting other school initiatives as needed
  • Identifying teaching and learning needs, barriers, and weaknesses by analyzing student data, and collaborating with staff to implement problem-solving actions
  • Facilitating high-quality professional development, working with staff to refine their knowledge and skills

This is a key role that requires strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a focus on empowering staff to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Current full or provisional registration as a teacher in Queensland
  • An exemption card issued by Blue Card Services (for Education and Care Services personnel)
