Responsibilities:

  1. Developing project plans and timelines, coordinating project activities.
  2. Creating detailed project plans, outlining project objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and potential risks and issues.
  3. Working with various stakeholders to ensure project activities align with the project plan and that project milestones and deadlines are met.
  4. Monitoring project performance, tracking progress against project plans, and making adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
  5. Managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring spending remains within allocated budgets.
  6. Preparing regular status reports on project progress and communicating project status to project sponsors and other stakeholders.
  7. Providing advice and support to project teams, helping to resolve issues and overcome obstacles to project success.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the government space - APS 5/6.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of government processes and procedures, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Security Clearance: APS 5/6 Program Officer positions require a security clearance, which involves a background check and other security measures.
