The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic MC Driver to join our metro team at our Darwin depot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of general freight to and from customer-specified sites. This role involves completing local pickups and deliveries, transporting various types of goods, and maintaining company vehicles in compliance with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute local pickups and deliveries to vendors and clients across Darwin
  • Transport goods, including produce, general freight, and refrigerated freight, across the metro/regional areas
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in accordance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Ensure safe loading and restraining of all loads
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to report any issues or incidents
  • Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods on time and handling inquiries or issues professionally
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

Requirements

  • Current MC Driver's Licence with demonstrated experience in your licence class
  • Current LF licence
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in various driving conditions
