Vacancy Name: Financial Accountant - FP&A Specialist

Description: New Forests seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Financial Accountant - FP&A Specialist as maternity cover for 18 months. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role will be primarily responsible for accounting and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a professional looking for an exciting challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual entity and consolidated group monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for the ANZ, Asia, US, and Kenya businesses.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with monthly budget vs actual vs forecast analysis at cost centre, entity, regional, and global consolidated level.
- Conduct revenue and expenditure analysis for ANZ, Asia, US, and Kenya.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with financial services licenses in ANZ, Asia, US, and Kenya.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with financial analysis and special projects.
- Prepare the CFO report to the Executive team and Board.
- Prepare quarterly board reporting to internal boards.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders outside the finance team and report to external shareholders.
- Complete ad-hoc financial analysis for both internal and external clients.
- Liaise with the Governance team to complete shareholder queries.
- Evaluate, improve, and streamline reporting processes.
- Assist with projects within finance and across the business.
- Contribute to system implementation projects.
- Evaluate, improve, and automate reporting processes.
Qualifications, Experience, and Strengths:
- Hold an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Accounting/Business or Finance.
- Be a qualified CA or CPA.
- Have proven experience with the FP&A team within a corporate finance team.
- Have a thorough understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Demonstrate process improvement/re-engineering experience to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have superior attention to detail.
- Be a team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently, while thriving in a team environment.
- Have a planning mindset complemented by organization, prioritization, and documentation skills.
- Have advanced Excel skills.
- Have an interest in/knowledge of sustainability and impact investing, well regarded.
- Able to demonstrate core finance team capabilities: Client Focus, Cultivates Innovation, Collaborates.
