Mental Health Journey Partners

As a Peer Worker, you will walk alongside people on their mental health recovery journeys and support them to achieve their hopes and dreams.
You will use your own life experience of a mental health issue and personal recovery to mentor and support others with lived experience of a mental health issue. This will involve connecting with individuals, guiding and supporting their recovery, modeling hope and recovery, and ensuring individual support meets their goals and is strengths-based.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building professional relationships with individuals who have lived experience of a mental health issue
- Guiding and supporting each person in their recovery and focusing on strengths, ability, and possibility
- Effectively modeling hope and recovery
- Ensuring individual support meets recovery journey goals and is strengths-based
- Encouraging shared learning experiences and supporting skill development through self-directed learning
