Job Opportunity: Lead Veterinary Nurse

This position combines clinical nursing with regional responsibilities, enabling collaboration with clinics and nurses for mentorship and training.

\

The successful candidate will provide regional mentorship to assist clinics in improving nurse capability and enhancing client interactions.

\
\
  • \
  • Work closely with clinics and individual nurses to deliver clinical training and mentorship.\
    \
  • Address clinical standards of care and assist clinics in improving nurse capability and client interactions.\
    \
  • Collaborate with the Regional Clinical Director and Area Manager to address skills gaps in clinic teams.\
    \
  • Develop and deliver training programs for team leaders and nurses.\
    \
  • Oversee student placements and internships for the region.\
    \
  • Assist in interviewing and induction of Head Nurse positions and other recruitment opportunities.\
    \
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to strengthen pipeline.\
    \
  • Collaborate with Area Manager & Regional Clinical Director to improve retention of Clinical nursing team members.\

    • Required Skills and Qualifications:\
      \
      • \
      • Qualifications: Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or above - Diploma of Veterinary Nursing highly regarded.\
        \
      • Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in a companion animal setting with a strong surgical background.\
        \
      • Skills: Proven focus on continuing education and training. Ability to provide training and education to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of clinic teams. Knowledge of relevant educational content and appropriate methods of delivery and the ability to develop and facilitate relevant and effective education for adult learners.\
        \
      • Leadership: Excellent leadership and team-building skills.\
        \
      • Interpersonal: Strong interpersonal skills to inspire patients, flexibility, creativity, and perseverance in others.\
        \
      • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.\
        \
      • Technical Skills: Ability in Microsoft Office including – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\
