The Role

">

As a Lifestyle & Community Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Person-First Leisure and Lifestyle Programs in our homes.

">

This includes managing a team of recreational activity officers who work to promote emotional and physical rehabilitation through person-first recreational activities that promote holistic wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Managing all Recreational Activities Officers with excellent team leadership">
  • Providing residents with quality care and actively supporting them to maintain their skill levels, independence and mobility">
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to effectively plan and organise all recreational activity programs">
  • Ensuring individual resident's needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account when providing recreational care">
  • Completing documented assessments which determine and clearly state capabilities, needs and problems">
  • Complying with infection control and work health and safety standards">

What You'll Need

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">

• A Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or degree level qualifications

">

• Previous experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an aged or community care setting

">

• A Senior First Aid Certificate and highly developed organisation and time management skills

">

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
