iCare is reimagining insurance and care to better serve the people of New South Wales. Our policies and legislative initiatives play a vital role in shaping how we deliver meaningful outcomes across all our schemes.
The policy lead will drive the coordination and delivery of policy and legislative initiatives across iCare, leading work to ensure iCare's interests are represented and aligned with government priorities.
This includes developing robust evidence-based policy advice, preparing high-quality ministerial briefings, submissions, and reports, and managing complex policy projects with multiple stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be an experienced policy professional with a strong understanding of cabinet processes and legislative frameworks, bringing proven skills in research, analysis, and strategic problem-solving.
- Develop and implement policy initiatives that align with government priorities
- Prepare high-quality ministerial briefings, submissions, and reports
- Manage complex policy projects with multiple stakeholders
- Navigate complex politically sensitive issues
- Present advice that stands up to scrutiny
- Build trusted relationships inside and outside of government
