About the Opportunity

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be empowered to function autonomously and collaboratively in an extended clinical role, assessing and managing patients using your advanced nursing knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient needs through comprehensive health assessments, ensuring accurate data collection and informed decision-making
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and sound reasoning
  • Cultivate effective communication and engagement with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure responsiveness to care needs
  • Promote a personable and professional approach, resolving conflicts when necessary
  • Maintain critical thinking and reflective practice, guiding assessments, judgements, and decisions while overseeing complete episodes of patient care
  • Contribute to clinical leadership, participating in practice development activities, mentoring, education, policy development, research, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive health assessments and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in working with diverse populations
