The NSW Government invites highly skilled Registered Nurses to apply for the prestigious role of Nurse Practitioner within the Drug Health Services team. About the Opportunity
This is a unique chance to join a pioneering service that offers comprehensive support programs to communities in need. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be empowered to function autonomously and collaboratively in an extended clinical role, assessing and managing patients using your advanced nursing knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient needs through comprehensive health assessments, ensuring accurate data collection and informed decision-making
- Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and sound reasoning
- Cultivate effective communication and engagement with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure responsiveness to care needs
- Promote a personable and professional approach, resolving conflicts when necessary
- Maintain critical thinking and reflective practice, guiding assessments, judgements, and decisions while overseeing complete episodes of patient care
- Contribute to clinical leadership, participating in practice development activities, mentoring, education, policy development, research, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive health assessments and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in working with diverse populations
